Dr. Bassam M. Kinaia
DDS, MS, DICOI
Board Certified Periodontist & Dental Implant Specialist Michigan Periodontics & Implants
Dr. Bassam Kinaia is the Associate Director of the Graduate Periodontics Specialty Program at the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School . Further, Dr. Kinaia currently serves as the Director of the Michigan Periodontal Association serving all Periodontists in the State of Michigan. He is a Board-Certified Periodontist from the American Board of Periodontology and the State of Michigan. He has obtained the prestigious designation of Diplomate from the American Academy of Periodontology and the International Congress of Oral Implantology . He is also the former the Director of the Graduate Periodontology Program at the University of Detroit Mercy in Michigan as well as the Boston University Institute for Dental Research and Education (BUIDRE) at Boston university in Dubai.
He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Detroit Mercy - Dental School in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his Master of Science (MS) and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Periodontics and Dental Implants at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and St. John Hospital Health System in Michigan.
Dr. Kinaia is devoted to teaching and research where he obtained a certificate of Excellence from the American Academy of Periodontology in recognition of his teaching and research fellowship. As an Associate Director and Professor at the University of Detroit Mercy, he teaches residents and periodontists the most recent surgical techniques in the fields of Dental Implants and Periodontology .
He is a clinician with years of private practice experience with a specific interest in dental implant and periodontal plastic surgery to enhance esthetic outcomes in Cosmetic Restorative dentistry. He has been chosen as Michigan's Top Periodontist by HOUR magazine for the past 8 years.
Dr. Kinaia is the recipient of the prestigious AAP 2018 Award for Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring in Periodontics. He lectures nationally in the United States and internationally and has numerous publications and research in the field of Periodontology and Dental Implants . Dr. Dalia Hasso
DDS, MS,BS

Dr. Dalia Hasso is a Michigan native and a graduate of Michigan State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Human Biology followed by Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences at Wayne State University. Thereafter, she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) followed by Specialty Certificate in Periodontics and Master of Science (MS) at the University of Detroit Mercy and Ascension Health System. Dr. Hasso has been highly trained in managing advanced periodontal conditions and dental implant therapies. Further, she is licensed in intravenous sedation, which we will be offering our patients to ensure a pleasant experience.

Germaine has been in the dental field for over 24 years. Germaine loves making her patients feel comfortable and welcome. She treats every patient like they are family. When Germaine is not at work, she is spending time with her children and her pets.
Nancy, RDH
Michigan Periodontics & Implants
Nancy has a passion for hygiene and providing the best care for all her patients. Nancy especially enjoys building relationships with her patients and likes to use humor to make her patients more comfortable in the dental chair.
Nancy's dental education started when she went to her high school vocational education program. She worked her senior year in a dental office. After high school she attended Indiana University School of Dentistry and completed with Honors the CDA program. Nancy worked at IU School of Dentistry for seven more years. Nancy moved to Michigan and attended Ferris University Dental Hygiene Program. She was awarded Best Clinician of her graduating class by the instructors and faculty. Nancy was chosen to participate in the National Health Service Corps . She worked in underserved communities providing dental services and dental education to all. Nancy love of public health dentistry has taken her all over the state of Michigan setting up clinics and moving to the Detroit area. She has been a preceptor of dental hygiene students with the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and Kalamazoo Community College.
Nancy's hobbies include golfing, scuba diving, downhill skiing, boating, airplanes and traveling. She loves audiobooks and is always looking for new adventures!
Nancy takes pride in engaging in educating her patients ,making her patients relaxed and comfortable while helping them reach optimal dental health .

Susan has been part of the dental community for over 24 years. Susan started out her career as a chairside dental assistant and over the years has had the wonderful opportunity to hold many different positions within the office. Susan has a passion for all things dental. She enjoys all aspects of the dental office and having the opportunity to establish and maintain lasting relationships with our patients. Outside of her dental family, Susan has been married to her amazing husband for 22 years and they have 2 beautiful daughters, Avery and Addison. Together, they enjoy spending time with their dog Teddy, going to the movies, and traveling.

Suzy has been part of the dental field for many years. Suzy is always ready and willing to help our patients as a front desk team member. Suzie is dedicated to helping patients with every step of their dental visit from making patients feel comfortable, scheduling their appointments, to processing their insurance claims. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She’s always up for being outside in the sun, including walking, biking, and attending different sporting events and concerts.

Sam joined the team at Michigan Periodontics and Implants in 2022. Sam started his career as a chairside dental assistant in general dentistry. Sam explored several different specialties and found he most enjoyed periodontal. Sam, the youngest of the siblings, loves to spend time with family. He also likes to travel and spend time with friends.
